The length of the Forager is approximately 9 and ½ inches overall and has the oxidized and stonewash for a rustic “Backwoods” finish. The 5-inch length blade holds a good durable edge. The concave top and bottom finger / thumb swedges of the blade allows the user to safely “choke up” on the knife blade for better control when whittling or gutting a deer. The exposed tang pommel can be used as a window / glass breaker. The black and olive drab laminate G 10 handle scales will not crack or chip. This knife was designed for the outdoorsman whether for hunting, fishing, backpacking / hiking, or camping.
