The Backwoods Tracker is like the Tracker Scout but with a more ergonomic design. The overall length is 11 inches with a blade length of 6-inches. The handle scales are scalloped by hand and made of American walnut with a burnt cherry look. The handle scales are also hand shaped and finished for each blade. The blunt sharpened “false” edge works well to use for light chopping or hacking of twigs and bark off branches to make stakes or wooden shafts and saves the main edge from getting dull. Other than making kindling, the splitting edge can also be used in shaving down wooden shafts to make poles or points for stakes from branches. The exposed tang pommel can be used as a window / glass breaker or blunt end defense if ever needed. The Backwoods Tracker is available with an epoxy coated flat grey finish or oxidized and stonewashed rustic finish.
