The overall length of the Tracker Scout is 11 inches. The knife blade is epoxy coated to a flat grey finish that will withstand a 1000-hour salt spray for corrosion resistance. The handle scales are textured high impact HDPE resin. The blunt sharpened “false” edge works well to use for light chopping or hacking of twigs and bark off branches to make stakes or wooden shafts and saves the main edge from getting dull. Other than making kindling, the splitting edge can also be used in shaving down wooden shafts to make poles or points for stakes from branches. The exposed tang pommel can be used as a window / glass breaker or blunt end defense if ever needed.
