The overall length of the TimberPig II is 12- and 5/16-inches. The main cutting edge of the 6 and ¼ inch length blade stays sharp and will serve well for most cutting needs you would expect from any outdoor utility knife.
The sharpened chisel beveled top edge works well to use for light chopping or hacking of twigs and bark off branches to make stakes or wooden shafts and saves the main edge from getting dull.
Other than making kindling, the splitting edge can also be used in shaving down wooden shafts to make poles or points for stakes from branches. The exposed tang pommel can be used as a window / glass breaker or blunt end defense if ever needed.
