About spectre forge

Back in 2002, a small knife company was started called Spectre Products. Spectre introduced a new style hatchet knife called the Timber Pig. Too often you’ll see a knife being used as an ax and destroying the fine edge. The Timber Pigs intended use was for back packers, hikers, outdoorsman or even gardeners that had a need for a knife that can be used as a light hatchet and kindling splitter with a serrated back edge. It’s heavy ¼ inch thick 1095 carbon steel full tang blade gained some popularity with Police and Fire departments and was also used as a crowbar to gain entry, glass breaker, seatbelt ripper with the serrated back edge and cut through the thin steel roof of a car. As useful in these tasks as it was, it was as ugly as its namesake. Spectre Products came out with other designs that were a bit more appealing, but the company suddenly vanished.

Starting in 2020, the designer of the original Timber Pig has created Spectre Forge, Inc. and has come out with a sleeker appearing knife called the Timber Pig II along with a few others. These new designs have the versatility for different cutting needs.
Along with Spectre Forge is our subsidiary US Spectre, which has created a product line of unique outdoor, bushcraft and survival accessories.
